CASE STUDY / HONEYWELL SPEAKER

The speaker, opened up.

A four-frame 3D product visualization study for Honeywell's speaker, moving from a finished product portrait into the details, structure, and engineering inside.

The Challenge

A speaker has to communicate two things at once: desire from the outside and confidence in what is inside. A polished product image can make the object feel considered, but it cannot show how the form is built or where the engineering lives.

The Honeywell speaker study was shaped as a visual progression rather than a collection of isolated renders. It needed to begin with a finished product portrait, then give the viewer a clearer look at the construction without losing the calm, premium feel of the object.

The result is a compact story in four frames: hero product, side profile, front cutaway, and exploded view. Each step adds information, so the viewer moves from recognition to understanding in a single pass.

What We Made

  • 3D product visualization
  • Product look development
  • Material, lighting & composition
  • Cutaway and exploded-view direction
  • Still-frame art direction

The Approach

We treated the speaker as both an object and a system. The opening frame establishes the finished silhouette and the quality of the exterior. From there, the camera shifts to the side profile, where the internal drivers and illuminated ring become part of the story, then moves into a front cutaway that makes the architecture legible. The final exploded view separates the layers just enough to show how they relate, keeping the visual language consistent across every frame.

The Result

A four-frame visual narrative that turns a finished speaker into an understandable product story — polished enough for brand communication, and specific enough to give the engineering inside it a visible role.

The Work

Side profile — proportion, material finish, internal drivers, and the illuminated ring begin to explain the product.

Front cutaway — the speaker's architecture made visible without sacrificing the clarity of the product silhouette.

Exploded view — each layer separated to show how the finished object is assembled.
